吴珏辉将于9月30日参加AIGA在北京的交流活动“设计之术沙龙 / Tech Salon”，届时将以“肉媒体”为发言主题。
“作为北京国际设计周的一部分，创意人士为灵感与沟通而将汇聚在AIGA中国设计活动的重头戏 “设计之术沙龙”。站在科技前沿的设计师们将展示他们是如何使设计突破技术可能性的边界，同样也会了解到人性化的设计。沙龙的形式是多样的，创意人士有机会聆听由本杰明·培根、王霞、塞尔吉奥·保兰托尼奥、吴珏辉带来的精彩演讲。”

USB 器官 初体验 USB Organs Test run 20100819

用USB武装自己

装置哥汪丰在修理USB

技术支持范宗海在摆造型

8月17日装置哥汪丰来修理USB头盔。装置哥走后进入程序最后的调试阶段，结果程序无法在我的mac上正常运行，可在别人的3台PC上都可以，靠！难道是机品太差。顿时我眼前一阵黑屏，时间已是午夜。黑屏过后睡意全无，连夜重装XP。第二天宗海妹早起继续帮我检查原因，可是又告失败。当晚我继续重装系统，换成另一个人气很高的XP版本，再次失败。绝望中求助郭浩云，让他帮我在他的mac上试试，如果在两台mac上都不行那我只能改用PC咯。结果程序在他的win7上貌似可以跑。激动了一伙赶紧下win7，接着又是漫长的重装，奋战到天明！19日临晨6点试机成功，马不停蹄地用所有装备将自己武装起来，睡意朦胧中完成了USB器官的初体验，在房子里游走一圈，有种意识滞后的感觉，很飘忽。最后自拍一张作为结束动作。

USB 器官 USB Organs 2009-

一个器官进化成USB接口的人，通过外接摄像头、麦克风、扬声器等“USB器官”来体验某种存在感。未来的人们或许不再需要肉身，至少器官可以被替换。我们更乐于接受各种“USB器官”的信号，而日渐感受到生理器官的局限。 或许，我们最终期盼的是让自己成为一个万能接口，即插即用。

体验者穿戴头盔，头盔内嵌一副HMD和一个麦克风，同时外接一个USB摄像头和一个USB麦克风，通过设定延时长度，来决定视听感官与外部世界的时差──同时身处现在与过去两个时间流，体验由延时导致的时空错位感。作品向观众开放，现场观众可以穿戴该设备自行体验。

A person whose organs have evolved into USB Organs (sockets) is connected to cameras, microphones and speakers as sensory substitutes to feel his existence. If a future human being may not need a corporal body, at least his / her organs can be exchanged with electronic devices. We anticipate our body as a universal plug / sockets that can be utilized at any moment and at any place.

The performer wears a helmet that is equipped with a head mounted display and a microphone. A USB camera and microphone are also connected to the helmet, which function as tentacles to sense the external world. The performer experiences temporal and spatial dislocation via a pre-configured duration of time-lapse which determines the time difference caused by the two time streams: time obtained through the audio-visual senses within the helmet and the time projected from outside the helmet.

这是一个让人体验时间的装置，通过一种强制性的方式：定时锁。体验者一旦将头伸入洞内，倒计时器启动，红色数字逐秒倒数。体验者得在一个封闭昏暗的半隔音空间中呆上5分钟，直至倒计时结束后定时锁会自动开启。体验者无法中断程序，除非按下外面的紧急开启按钮。

Countdown (Ostrich Version)

A time based experience / installation

This is a time-experience machine that restricts the participant through a mandatory rule of the game: time lock. A participant inserts his / her head into the cutout hole which is constructed to be a semi-soundproofed dark space, the countdown timer starts immediately and the red digital countdown signal ticks every second until it reaches a duration of 5 minutes, the time locker then releases itself to free the participant. During the countdown time, the participant cannot interrupt the program, unless by pressing the emergency button to escape.

The machines helps people to experience the time, through a mandatory rules of the game: time lock. Once closed the box, you have to stay in a closed semi-soundproof dark space, until the end of the 5 minutes countdown timer. The countdown timer inside the box starts automatically, the red digital countdown every second. The people inside can not interrupt the program, unless people outside press the emergency button.

基本概念：

一个器官进化成USB接口的人，通过外接摄像头、麦克风、扬声器等“USB器官” (USB Organs) 来体验某种存在感。斯蒂拉克(Stelarc)曾经标榜“身体已经过时（The Body is Obsolete）”。未来的人们或许不再需要肉身，至少器官可以被替换。我们更乐于接受各种“USB器官”的信号，而日渐感受到生理器官的局限。 或许，我们最终期盼的是让自己成为一个USB Hub，即插即用。
